Columbus-based Coach Quarters expands services with new business venture Midwest Golf Excursions and begins operating Columbus Trolley

Date: May, 2017 .

Columbus, OH – Coach Quarters, a provider of luxury charter motor coaches for corporate and executive outings and regional travel, announces the launch of Midwest Golf Excursions to transport recreational golfers to courses within a six-hour drive from Columbus. Midwest Golf Excursions provides door-to-door service as well as local transportation at the courses, and all coaches have in-motion satellite television.

"Our coaches have always been chartered for local and out-of-town golf trips, by word of mouth more so than as a structured business venture," says Mike Middaugh, president and founder of Coach Quarters. "It often takes two or three cars to accommodate everyone who goes to a golf outing, so of course we believe traveling in a coach makes sense."

Other key advantages include no worries about drinking and driving, no one person being responsible for driving, the safety of a professional driver behind the wheel, overall enjoyment of the trip, and enough space to safely transport the group—and everyone's golf clubs.

Coach Quarters has geared up its advertising for the new and expanded golf excursion charters, and has added an account executive to market the services for corporate, incentive and team building getaways.Coach Quarters also recently absorbed ownership of Columbus Trolley, comprising two San Francisco-style motorized trolleys, whose primary business is transporting wedding parties before and after the ceremony. Because most weddings take place between Thursday and Saturday, Coach Quarters' marketing goal is to expand bookings for causal and corporate events throughout the workweek.
